In our 100 year old cellar we produce numerous award winning wines including labels such as Longbush, Tiri Tiri, Goldenvines Estate, Revington Vineyards, Repongaere Estate, Avenue and Waitaria.
Each wine tells a story . . . of unique soils, microclimate, vintage and the spirit of each vineyard. Our cellar then allows the wine to evolve in the barrel or bottle, producing complex multi layered wines full of intrigue . . . worthy of any good story.
By developing a close working relationship with the growers, our winemaking team of John Thorpe and Ryan Raggett have developed a portfolio of wines that we believe truly reflect the high quality of grapes produced within the Gisborne region. Only by applying traditional winemaking techniques that avoid unnecessary additives and filtering can the wine truly speak for the vineyard.
Both John Thorpe and Ryan Raggett are Gisborne locals with a huge passion for their region and the wines produced here. John has now spent close to two decades making wine in the Gisborne region, building a huge knowledge of local growing conditions and successful winemaking styles. Ryan is new to the team, joining on before the 2006 vintage after completing his wine degree from E.I.T Hawke’s Bay, and furthering his knowledge with international experience in Western Australia and France.
